Pajama Friday and Winter Wonderland packed downtown Fernandina with residents and visitors from as far away as Australia enjoying the shopping and festivities. Music filled the air, the Salvation Army volunteers rang their bells and there was a nip in the air.

Santa and The Grinch were there and there were lots of contestants for the pajama judges to choose from. Winners to be contacted by phone, according to emcee Chuck Hall.

Festivities continue today until 9 pm and resume Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm with snow globe pictures and the lighting of the Christmas Tree (at 6:15) being the highlights tomorrow.
