What strengths will you bring to the city commission? Among other attributes, I will bring a fiscally and philosophically conservative approach to city government operations and spending. I have an extensive, current knowledge and understanding of the issues facing our city. But most of all, I bring to the commission my own strong personal integrity. |

What strengths will you bring to the city commission? Uniting. I strongly believe that now is the time to work together as a commission that leaves agendas at the door and works together. In the Navy we had a core value saying, “One team, one fight.” My strength is that I listen, and strive to understand all aspects of the issues, make the right decision, and act. Let’s group up, and get down to business. |

If elected, will you uphold the mayoral straw poll result and vote for Ed Boner for mayor? Last year, while assisting then-candidate Boner during his campaign, I recall having conversations about the role of the straw poll in the mayoral selection process. I found his views interesting and will take them under consideration as I evaluate my options on this issue. |

Tell us your thoughts on other issues facing our city that have not been addressed through questions posed to candidates?
I haven’t been asked about my position on the preservation of our green space. I like what our state parks chose as their motto, “The real Florida”. A little jab aimed at Orlando maybe? As anyone who has trekked thru our amazing greenway, or just glanced around while traveling down Beech street knows, we have a lot of “Real Florida” in our city. I believe we must strive make preserving this vital asset while making inevitable growth decisions.
