As of 2 p.m. today, there were no campaign supporters waving signs at the Elm Street or First Baptist Church polling places.  Just because the weather may prove daunting to campaign workers, don’t let it keep you away from the polls!

Voter information received as of 3:00 p.m. show 789 voters have cast their ballots today.  With 541 vote by mail ballots in, the vote total is 1330.  There are 8935 registered voters in Fernandina Beach.

People interested in watching the city election returns post in real time have several options this evening.  First, the public is welcome to visit either the Supervisor of Elections Office, 96135 Nassau Place, Suite 3 (James S. Page Governmental Center), Yulee, FL  32097 or Fernandina Beach City Commission meeting chamber, 204 Ash Street, Fernandina Beach, FL  32034.  Results will be posted in both locations as they come in.

If going outside on a dark, windy evening is not your cup of tea, you may also view results as they come in on the city’s website (www.fbfl.org) or by clicking the following link:  http://www.voterfocus.com/enr_php/enrstatic.php?county=nassau&election=96
