Editor’s Note: As with the Dutch bells in 2010, and the French Navy tall ships last year,
Phillipe Boetes the “Mr. Petanque” of Amelia Island, could not let an opportunity pass for his community to see 160 of Belgium’s classic cars. The cars were shipped from Belgium to Newark and are on their way to Miami. Boets whose hometown is Antwerp, arranged for the cars to stop briefly on Centre Street in Fernandina’s Historic District on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday between 10 – 12.
