Fernandina Beach Police Department

On September 16, 2013 at 9:43AM, the Fernandina Beach Police and Fire Departments responded to the 3300 block of South Fletcher Avenue concerning an accidental electrocution.
Investigating officers determined that 42 year old Fernandina Beach resident Donald G. Brown, Jr. an employee of Johnny’s Electric, was replacing a light on a tennis court when he came in contact with a high powered electrical line. Fire/Rescue personnel transported Brown to Baptist Nassau where he died from his injuries.
Federal OSHA investigators and the Fernandina Beach Police Department continue to investigate this incident.
