On Thursday, May 23, ARIAS  (Amelia Residents In Action for the Symphony) “brought the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra right to our front door,” says Stephan Leimberg, talented area photographer.   According to Leimberg, the concert began with Robert Quimbly singing the Stars Spangled Banner, and ended with upbeat patriotic music.

Musical selections included American Salute, Victory at Sea, and the Armed Forces Salute and according to Leimberg “brought many of our former service men and women to their feet.”  The concert, conducted by  Fabio Mechetti, was held at the First Baptist Church in Fernandina Beach.
