Brett Opalinski, Michael Biagini, and Sorcha French participants in the Boston Marathon, are safe after two explosions rocked Copley Square in Boston. The explosions took place at the finish line 4 hours and 9 minutes into the race.
According to the Boston Athletic Association website, Opalinsk finsihed the race at 3 hours 44 minutes, 25 minutes before the first explosion. Biagini, finished the race 3 hours and 6 minutes about a hour before the explosions. French crossed the finish line at 4 hours, just 9 minutes before the detonation.
Oplinksi serves as minister of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Fernandina Beach. A notice sent to parishioners announced, “We have learned that Pastor Brett had finished the race and he and his family are safe. Michael Biagini and his family are there as well and they are fine also. Please keep everyone in your prayers.”
