Joe Springer, manager of Fernandina Harbor Marina has been elected to the Board of Director of the Jacksonville Marina Association (JMA). “The purpose of the Jacksonville Marine Association is to promote activities and education between its members and to foster and promote boating on the waters of North East Florida” said Mark Zeigler, President of the Jacksonville Marine Association.
Mr. Springer, designated as a Certified Marina Manager, has been the manager of Fernandina Harbor Marina since May of 2010. “Since his arrival, the marina successfully completed the requirements to be identified as a “CLEAN MARINA” by the Florida DEP. In addition Fernandina Harbor Marina has qualified as a “1st Choice Marina” by the Interactive Cruising Guide of Active Captain,” said John Louis, Westrec’s Southern Area Regional Manager. “This position will provide me the opportunity to represent Westrec Marinas, the boaters on Amelia Island and the Marine interests of Nassau County”, said Mr. Springer.
