It was a beautiful sunny weekend for the 4th Petanque-America Open on Amelia Island.  An estmated 400 to 500 people were in evidence at different times and many different languages were overheard.  The 2 day competition resulted in 36 cash prizes being awarded and a great time was had by all along our beautiful waterfront.  There were 128 teams that traveled world wide for the competition.  Thanks to Philippe Boets for his hard work and for bringing Petanque to Fernandina Beach.

The winners from Belgium & New York in the light blue shirts beat the French team in dark blue.
