Leeper, Boatright, Edwards are winners – It’s over!

The  elections are over for candidates Bill Leeper, Walter Boatright, and Pat Edwards.  In the hotly contested race for Nassau County Sheriff, Bill Leeper won with a wide margin against other opponents gaining over 66% of the vote.  Walter Boatright, incumbent county commissioner, was able to hold his seat by garnering 55% of the vote over challenger Ken Overstreet.  Pat Edwards, long time Nassau county resident, defeated Ronnie Stoots with 74% of the vote.

In the property appraiser’s race, candidate Michael Hickox defeated incumbent Tammi Stiles.  Hickox will go at it again in November against William F. Caulkins Sr. with no party affiliation.

Having received less than the required 50% plus one vote, school board incumbent Gail G. Cook (42.97%) will be up against John M. Pulice 4,744 (28.91%) in again in November.
