As of 5:00 p.m. today, 31.47% voter turnout

As of 5:00 p.m. today, voter turnout including absentee ballots, early voting, and voters who appeared at the polls is at 31.47%. The average voter turnout is 28%.

According to Tamara Pendleton, chief administrator for the Nassau County Supervisor of Elections’ Office, “there were 4,659 that early voted, 4,915 Vote by Mail ballots so far (they can still be dropped off until 7) and 6,831 have voted at the polls so far.”

Polls close at 7:00 p.m.   Shortly after the polls close, the Supervisor of Elections Office will post election results from early voting and absentee ballots.  The Fernandina Observer will keep you informed on election results through out the evening.
