Gary Abbey from the Rotary Club Jacksonville-Oceanside visited the Rotary Club of Amelia Island Sunrise and gave the members more insight and an update about ShelterBox which became Rotary International’s first Project Partner and remains the only Project Partner focused on disaster relief.

Sunrise Rotary members Stan Fishburn, and Helmut Albrecht present check to Gary Abbey of the Oceanside Rotary for the Shelter Box.

ShelterBox was founded to provide shelter, warmth, and dignity to people affected by disasters and humanitarian crises around the world.

Helmut Albrecht donated his winnings from a recent 50/50 to the project and presented together with the club a check of $2000 for two additional ShelterBoxes.
