Have you visited the Fernandina Beach Golf Course recently? Under the management of Billy Casper Golf both the greens and the financial picture of the operation have demonstrated steady improvement over the past five years.

Golf course manager Steve Murphy

Golf Course Manager Steve Murphy and Chris Cygan, Regional Manager for Billy Casper Golf, provided the Fernandina Beach City Commission (FBCC) with a slide presentation on the current state of the golf course and expectations for the future.

Following the presentations, the FBCC decided to sunset the Greens and Oversight Committee, which has not been meeting regularly due to quorum requirements. Replacing it will be a resurrected Golf Course Advisory Board consisting of people who play on the golf course to provide the FBCC with advice and guidance on future direction of the operation. The matter will return for formal approval at the next FBCC meeting.

The slides below are taken from the Billy Casper presentation and represent some of the highlights of the past year.
