Daughter of Nassau County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Oliver Awarded Scholarship

Deputy Oliver’s daughter receives scholarship offered in memory of her father.

On Thursday, April 20th, Operation American Dream presented a $6,455 education scholarship to the seven-year-old daughter of Nassau County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Oliver. A 7-year member of the Sheriff’s Office and a U.S. Navy veteran, Deputy Oliver passed away in the line of duty on November 22, 2016, after he was struck by a vehicle while pursuing a subject on foot.

Operation American Dream worked to rally the Nassau County community in support of Deputy Oliver’s daughter. The Orlando-based non-profit organization launched DeputyOliver.com, a fundraising website for his daughter’s college education. Donations are still being accepted and are tax-deductible.

Operation American Dream, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, funds education scholarships for the children of U.S. military, law enforcement, and fire rescue personnel from Florida who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
