Nassau Humane Society accepting donations of pet supplies due to Bryceville fire.

We at the Nassau Humane Society are deeply concerned about our neighbors in Bryceville and the other areas of Nassau County impacted by this very fast moving fire.   Families are being  evacuated to a local shelter with their pets.

Starting at 9 am today at our NHS Shelter, 639 Airport Road, we will begin taking dog and cat food, as well as cat litter donations. We will be available for you to simply drive through and we will unload your kind donations. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to help. We will deliver the first load to the shelter in the afternoon.

We are in touch with county services and understand there may be a need for other animal food types for livestock, pigs and even donkeys in the near future.

Any monetary donations will be forwarded to our local branch of the Red Cross, who are responding.

Thank you Nassau County for your help. We live in the best place!!!
