The West Nassau High School Air Force Junior ROTC provided the color guard for the Sixth Annual Navy SEAL Foundation Golf Classic in November. The cadets presented the colors at the beginning of the golf tournament held at Longpoint Golf Club.
This year’s event honored six Gold Star special warfare families who wear the gold star to signify a loss of a family member in service to the country. Ten active duty and retired Navy SEALS also participated in the tournament. The Amelia Island Charity Group hosts the Navy SEAL Foundation Golf Tournament each year to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation, which provides both immediate and long-term support and assistance to special warfare families.
