CBC National Bank presented Harry Kegler, Chair of the Fernandina Beach Police Foundation’s Signal 35 with a check for $5,000. “As a community bank, it is important for us to be involved in the local communities where we do business.
Fernandina citizens are very proud of the Fernandina Police Department and the hard work they do to keep the community safe. What better way to support the community than by supporting the Fernandina Police Department Foundation – Signal 35 Program”
said Michael Brooks, CMO of CBC National Bank. Signal 35 is an Officer Assistance Program that provides financial assistance to any local police officer, or their immediate families, that find themselves in financial difficulty as a result of a violent act perpetrated against the law enforcement officer or their family.
The Fernandina Beach Police Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that oversees the Police Auxiliary Corps (PAC), Shop with Cops, Signal 35, Chaplaincy, and the soon-to-be-announced Citizen’s Police Academy. Tax-deductible donations to support these efforts can be made by check to “Fernandina Beach Police Foundation” and dropped off or sent to Police Headquarters at 1525 Lime Street, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034.
