Editor’s Note: This photo was taken as the moon was setting in the west. May moons are sometimes referred to as flower moons. Carollee Adams moved to Fernandina Beach from Naples, Florida in 1991. She was a member of the opening team when the Ritz Carlton came to Amelia Island. Four years ago, Carollee retired from the Ritz after 28 years as a massage therapist. She now spends her retirement years honing her skills as a photographer, a poetry writer, and painter.
