Wild Amelia’s Nature Fest attracts hundreds

Wild Amelia’s 10th annual Nature Festival attracted hundreds of residents and visitors from all over the country to the three-day event, which included dozens of ecotours: the release of green sea turtle Davy Jones by the Georgia Sea TurtleCenter; an Expo with over 40 exhibitors, including the Sea Mobile with multiple touch tanks from the Gulf Marine Specimen Laboratory of Panacea, Florida; a huge silent auction; a sunset fundraiser cruise with Amelia River Cruises; a Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens photography safari; music by LaidBack; announcement of the winners of the 8th annual Wild Amelia Nature Photography Contest; and a special appearance by Jack Rudloe, author and environmentalist.
