A Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and all the trimmings will be delivered to families in need thanks to Barnabas and the generosity of WestRock and its employees.   WestRock supplied 76 turkeys (18 pounds each), and Barnabas gathered the trimmings.

“Thanksgiving is a time to appreciate the gifts we have and WestRock and its employees are pleased to partner with Barnabas to share our good fortune with so many families,” said Colin Campbell. Many other employees donated turkey through churches and other organizations.

Partnerships with area businesses and church organizations allows Barnabas to help even more individuals in crisis. “Thanks to the generosity of WestRock and its employees, more than 70 families have been gifted a turkey for their Thanksgiving meal. These are working families who seek food each month through the Barnabas food pantry; they struggle each day just to make ends meet, not knowing where their next meal is coming from,” said Wanda Lanier, executive director.

What a wonderful show of support for the community, especially given the number of WestRock employees that suffered a temporary lay-off earlier this year. I know the recipients will be very thankful for their Thanksgiving meal.
