Editor’s Note: Mickey Baity and his wife Pam moved to Amelia Island from Washington, D.C in 2000. He spent much of his professional career living and traveling in the Middle East and Africa. After 26 years as a fighter pilot, he began a second career with Teledyne Industries International as a corporate vice president for business development. Mickey is a former chair of the City of Fernandina Beach Airport Advisory Board, and volunteers with the Friends of Fernandina Aviation.
