Fernandina Beach Police DepartmentThe Fernandina Beach Police Auxiliary Corps held its annual volunteer appreciation banquet at Ms. Carolyn’s Restaurant on Monday night, March 23rd. More than seventy members and guests joined PAC Commander Steve Filkoff and Fernandina Beach Police Foundation Chair Harry Kegler for a gourmet meal and an evening of camaraderie.

The Police Auxiliary Corps provides much needed assistance at special events throughout the City. They have committed several thousand hours of volunteer time and effort at hundreds of local events, to include bike rodeos, carnivals and concerts, to name just a few.

Once again I would like to publicly express my gratitude to the men and women of our Police Auxiliary Corps and to also thank some of our community partners for making the annual appreciation dinner even more special, including Amelia Angler, Amelia Hotel & Suites, BarZin Bistro and Wine Bar, Baxter’s, Bo & Mike’s, Café Karibo, Chez Lezan, Coastal Cinema, Colleen the Barber, DeNucci’s, Dottie B’s Florist, Fancy Sushi, Fernandina Fantastic Fudge, Fernandina Beach Golf Club, Florida House, Happy Tomato, Junior’s Seafood, La Mancha, Lomi Massage, Lulu’s, Nana Teresa’s, New China Buffet, Ops, Pate Sucree, Pepper’s, Pajama Dave’s, The Crab Trap, Timoti’s, Whataburger, Wines by Steve, and Woody’s.
