Adding another fixed based operator, a restaurant, etc. would all be “expansions” of the current airport (activities that have been mentioned and advertised for) within its geographic boundaries that may or may not be compatible with our current enjoyment of island life. Where do I get a copy of the minutes for this meeting?

Betsy, I’m not sure how the “expansion” elements you mentioned would impact the island quality of life. I guess another FBO could result in incremental traffic in and out of the airport if they attract new pilots from lower fuel prices or better service. Not sure how adding a restaurant would have any impact unless it turns into a Jumbolair (Ocala FL) type of affair that attracts pilots from all over FL and the Southeast for their Sunday brunch; although I suspect the big attraction is John Travolta’s house and planes and not the food.
On a second note, are the TAC’s press releases cleared by the City Manager before they are released? If not, perhaps that should be done to avoid the confusion and gnashing of teeth that the use of the word “expansion” created.

Passero Associates. Isn’t this one of the firms the City is suing regarding the roads built in Isle de Mai that are reverting to swampland? Yes, I believe it is.
