Editor’s Note: Carollee Adams moved to Fernandina Beach from Naples, Florida in 1991. She was a member of the opening team when the Ritz Carlton came to Amelia Island. Three years ago, Carollee retired from the Ritz after 28 years as a massage therapist. She now spends her retirement years honing her skills as a photographer, a poetry writer, and painter.
