David Haldman
County Attorney David Hallman

According to Circuit Court Judge Robert M. Foster, Nassau County Attorney David Hallman was “diagnosed with an early stage of lymphoma and is being treated at Baptist Jacksonville. The prognosis is good and he is expected to be home by next week and back in the office soon. He is currently working by telephone and electronically, appeared rested and energized and displayed good humor (meaning that he laughed at my lame jokes). He requests no visitors at this time but deeply appreciates everyone’s thoughts, prayers and cards.”

Dave, thanks for the well wishes. I’m accustomed to being at the desk 60 hours a week, so it’s a new skill learning to edit documents with my arms held over the hospital bed. New perspectives often bring new insight.

David, and what about that saying about old dogs and new tricks? I know you will adapt as circumstances dictate but the important thing is your personal health and rest is the best medicine there. I am sure everyone will forgive a small downturn in legal work in exchange for a fast and full recovery.
